Science and Technology Photography
Science photography is a part of photography that focuses on immortalizing aspects of science or technology. This can be anything from taking shots of chemical reactions, to depositories to machines and so on. Many people believe that science pictures are easy to be taken because the subject is usually standing still, 'waiting' to be captured. In fact, this is far from being true and most would agree that simply because the subject stands still one need to work harder with their imagination and creativity to emphasize certain aspects of the part of the science or technology they are interested in. here are some tips on how to make better technology photos.
The more difficult part of science photos is that the subject is usually unable to tell the story on its own, and the photographer needs to find a way to reveal the story behind his object. Unlike in human or animal shots, machines have no eyes and thus they can't transmit emotions or feelings and the impact might be smaller on the viewer. But this can be avoided if one takes advantage of all the things that he can use to make better pictures.
Key elements become framing, the light and the equipment. Playing with light is one of the best techniques that individuals can use to emphasize some aspects of their pictures and to leave other out. The way in which the light fall on the object may even provide an effect of 'humanizing' it. Nevertheless, framing plays a great role in this story. One needs to find a good posture and a good distance with respect to the object in order to be able to show that particular story that they want. The tips vary with every photo and in this area of photography it is much more about the photographer's openness to try new techniques and play with his equipment than anything else.
