Travel Photography

Travel photography is a particular area of photography which has developed as a combination between one's pleasure to travel and one's pleasure to take pictures of people, place and animals. The special aspect of travel photography is that the shots are always telling a story and the mysterious part of it is that the viewer only sees parts of the story and can imagine the rest on their own. Travel photography is constantly gaining popularity as individuals 'at home' are becoming more and more interested in the stories that can be told by photographers and their art. Taking great travel shots implies however taking little aspect into consideration. The most important tip that travel photographers have to keep in mind is that their work needs to tell a story and this means that they will always have to put their subject into context. This means that one can simply tell where the picture has been taken by the atmosphere that is transmitted from the picture or simply by capturing the most widely known architectural pieces that there are in a certain place. yet, one should not be tempted to take all their pictures let's say in front of the Eiffel tower if they go and visit Paris but they should use their creativity and imagination to find a way to reveal the place where the picture was taken.

Nevertheless, it is important to mix up the pictures and this is for the sake of the viewer. For instance, many people who travel to Europe are fascinated by the architectural richness of the continent and sooner than one realizes, all the shots involve building, while this might be interesting for those passionate about buildings, it will most like be very boring for the others, no matter how good the photos are. Thus, a little of diversity is always welcome.
